I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chipotle (Gresham, OR) in Jul 2015
Interview
It was a group interview, there were about 15 of us in all. Someone came out and explained we'd have individual interviews outside. We all went out one by one and it was easy to tell who got a job and who didn't. Those who did were handed a paper and those who weren't, didn't. There was only one interviewer so it took about 65 minutes to get to me. Once it was my turn, it was very short. When he asked where I see myself in five years I responded with, in college on my way to a medical career. In the end he said he wouldn't be able to offer me a position because he didn't believe Chipotle would prepare me for a career in the medical field. (I didn't get the job because he was looking for something along the lines of "in a higher position here at chipotle.")
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
