I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Lakeland, FL) in Jun 2015
Interview
I was sent an email saying Chipotle wanted to meet with me one day and the times were "10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m." the way the email was sent it looked as if you were supposed to attend both interviews but I emailed them to see if I was only supposed to attend one (which I was) So on a Saturday morning I drove to chipotle and arrived about 15 minutes early to find out it was a group interview. The manager opened the door and told us all to sit down that it might not be till 10:45 when the interview would start which I was okay with. More and more people came and it ended up being 8 of us all sitting around chipotle before opening while the workers prepared the food for opening at 11. 10:45 passed, we had yet to been talked to by the manager. 10:55 passed and had yet to been talked to by the manager. It was 11:15 and all 8 of us still hadn't been talked to. While we were sitting there unaware of when we would be talked to, the crew members making the guacamole were tasting it off cup lids which seemed a bit odd to me...Finally around 11:25 3 of the people applying for the job were taken outside to speak to the manager and 5 of us were left behind. One girl had to leave the interview because she had prior commitments. Finally the rest of us were taken outside with the manager and sat down and he just talked about his chipotle experience and asked all 4 of us the same questions and didn't really make an effort to find out anything about any of us. Lasted about 15 minutes and consisted mostly of what the managers career at chipotle was like.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
