I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Children at Risk (Houston, TX) in May 2016
Interview
it was a phone call interview. The interviewer asked basic questions about my resume and school. She also went through my role and what I have to do in the organization. There are some behavior question as well to test how good I am to get along with others in the organization.

Interview
I followed directions and applied online. My application was forwarded to those in charge of that specific internship position, and I received an email to schedule an email promptly. During the interview, they asked me to tell them about myself, but that was pretty much it. I asked questions as well. In general, it was an awkward interview. I could tell that I wasn't the person they wanted, but the experience was okay; they didn't seem to have a clear idea of what projects they would be working on throughout the expected internship period (summer), which I thought they would.

Interview
The interview is basically to determine whether your interests line up with the work that CAR does. Getting to know your supervisor during the interview definitely helps later, when selecting the projects you'll be working on.
