Every school does it differently and will reach out independently when applied to. It’s always a toss up as to what the interview will look like but expect basic stuff.

I was a substitute at the school for a couple years before being hired into the position. Since I had been working in the school, administration had come in to see one of the classes I was covering and had offered me a job after that.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Chicago Public Schools (Chicago, IL)
Interview
I interviewed over the phone, then interviewed with the administration and case manager. It wasn't super extensive as they were eager to fill vacant positions, It think. It helps, also if you know someone to refer you to the position.

I think they asked me basic classroom management questions, what I would do with a challenging student, my background, not super difficult.
