Chicago Public Library interview questions

Very straight forward. No room for error. You couldn't ask follow up questions. There was an assessment part that required you to create a PowerPoint. The interview is about one hour to one hour and 30 minutes.

It felt like I was interviewing for a position at McDonalds, not for a job that requires a Master's degree. Mass hiring event, not flexible with scheduling. There were maybe 90 people interviewing and 30 interviewing at the same time in the same room. It's disrespectful to candidates and not an ideal way to find a good candidate. When I interviewed for a position as a Library Clerk in early 2020, I had a 1-on-1 interview. What changed CPL?
