I applied for an internship and took a math test in early November. I heard back in mid-January for another test, this time a report-writing test. I cleared that and was asked to do an online interview with two of their consultants. The interviewers weren’t friendly or particularly keen to interview me. For the case study portion, they had specific answers in mind and only wanted to hear those. It wasn’t a conversation or a discussion. I emailed two weeks later to get an update and was ignored. I followed up with HR again the next week and was ghosted once more. I’ve interviewed with other consulting firms, but I’ve never had such a terrible experience. Even before the interview, HR told me that the case study would be sent to me in advance and that I would have to present it during the interview. That never happened—they didn’t send any material in advance, and instead, they conducted two case studies on the spot. Mind you, I had emailed HR a week before the interview to confirm if and how the case study presentation would take place, and even then, my email was ignored.
