Went through three rounds- some individual and some groups. It is good to practice thinking on your feet. come prepared with answers about your personal mission and how it aligns with the company
I applied through university. I interviewed at Change Corps (Washington, DC) in Mar 2017
Interview
ok Glassdoor is prompting me to submit something to view their website, so here is a review for one of the stranger interviews I have ever been a part of. I applied and interviewed in 2017. It was an all day group interview process, with public speaking tasks and interviews. Part of the day involved going out and getting people to sign petitions, and we had to pay something like $10 for lunch up front (???!) so it really felt like I was just doing free labor for them. The salary they told us was literally below minimum wage as well. It sucks that important organizing work can be so exploitative.
Despite spending 7+ hours with this company, the next time I heard from them was over 6 months later. weird.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Change Corps (Berlin) in Mar 2019
Interview
I applied for the community organizer position because the job advertised that it was located in Philadelphia, where I was moving. After setting up the interview , the day of, I waited for the call which never came. I emailed their HR and did not hear back for a few days and they asked to reschedule. I did the first interview and while I enjoyed the conversation, it became clear that the position was not located in Philadelphia, but required frequent moves around the country - not something I was able to do.
