Everything seemed to be going great, and I thought it would be a great fit for us both. Interview went really well and enjoyed the conversations I had with the Owner and associates I met with. Towards the end of the interviewing process, I had been led to believe I was a great candidate and fit, and even got a private message from one of their recruiters indicating I was their guy (hush hush) with just a few final hoops to jump through. I was very excited and ready to negotiate on an offer. I then waited around for a week +, hearing little back, to be subsequently told the owners had a future son-in-law graduating college soon they just realized they wanted for this position. Extremely unprofessional. And who doesn't want to work for a company that prioritizes nepotism over great candidates?
