I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Jan 2020
Interview
I highly recommend researching the job series you're applying for, especially if you're new to the government hiring system. This can put you on a career track that's difficult to switch as you advance in the agency. For example, my background is in science, but not understanding fully the career projection of a PHA, I'm having a difficult time switching from operational management role to a more technical role. Do your research.

Interview
Initial phone screen followed by several phone and virtual interviews. Took quite some time to hear back initially and between interviews. I believe the office was undergoing a reorganization, so they were not moving as efficiently as they had previously.

Got an email and interviewed immediately. HR process is long and slow, still have not been fully onboarded. God a TO the same week as the interview, still waiting on the FO. I have heard it can take 6 months to a year and a half to fully onboard.
