Interview
Recruiter set up an initial phone screen where salary expectations were discussed. I was quickly shepherded through 4 more interviews: one with the direct manager, another with members of the team, a third with the managers, and a final with the recruiter verbally disclosing an offer. After discussing the offer with my family, I attempted to negotiate with a counteroffer which the company rejected. The recruiter responded by reinstating the first offer, which I accepted. Then the recruiter came back out of the blue and said the team was looking at other candidates, rejecting my candidacy altogether a week later. The entire offer process was the most unprofessional I have dealt with in my entire working life, not to mention insulting to my credentials. Unless you have an "in" with the particular subdivision of Centene, I strongly urge you avoid this company - female CEO, DEI programs, and the promise of internal promotion be damned.
