Cell Press Editorial Operations Associate interview questions

I applied to three different positions at the company. I got one phone interview, was told I'd hear back in a week, and had to email the person twice (once when over a week had passed and another a couple weeks later) to find out what was happening only to learn they weren't moving forward with my application. A friend referred me to another position, and then they never contacted me nor answered my friend's inquisitions about my application. This application, plus the third role I applied for, sent news back months later after it was obvious I wasn't going to be chosen to let me know just that. Completely unprofessional behavior.
