I reached out to the Sales Director, who was very pleased I did this. He said that I would be getting an interview as a result. 2 weeks passed and I hadn't heard anything. I emailed asking if I should have heard anything by now, and got an aggressive phone call from the HR Manager. I tried to de-escalate, explaining what happened, for her to then immediately start screening me with the very obvious intent of taking me out of the application process. I felt incredibly uncomfortable with the process, and when she asked about salary expectations (which they didn't put in the job specification)
I then found out the base salary maximum was 35k per year. This is well under market value.
I spoke with the Sales Director after this call, wanting to give an opportunity to raise concerns about the culture of the company. The director made it clear that I wasn't believed.
Thankfully I received an email the same day saying they have taken me out of the process. To be honest I am grateful they did that before I could formally withdraw.
