I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CardConnect (Philadelphia, PA) in Mar 2018
Interview
phone interview followed by face to face. 3 rounds in face to face. HR, software engineer, manager and director. I feel phone interviews should be tough as it takes lot of time do go thro face to face sessions.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CardConnect (King of Prussia, PA) in Jul 2018
Interview
Phone call with a technical lead. It contained the normal get to know you with Java short answer question. On site interview followed with a one on one with a director. Then, I met with a team of four developers and finished with a one on one HR STAR question interview. When I asked the team lead about the interview style during the phone screen, he gave me a different process than what actually happened. The HR person had no idea how the interview would be conducted and wasn't very helpful through the whole process. The whole process seemed like nobody knew what was going on. The white boarding interview style is a slowing creeping virus from the FAANG companies. If interviews are an indication of the working environment, I'm glad I didn't get an offer.
