I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CarShop (Cranberry, PA) in Aug 2017
Interview
Initial application pretty standard, questionnaire at the end is a little extensive but not too bad overall. Management does read your answers, so answer appropriately and genuinely. Phone call on a Monday after submitting the app online over the weekend, brief phone interview with a friendly sales manager. After the call, offered to come in and have a face to face interview with the sales manager. Face to face interview went well, offered to meet with the general manager in a few days for another interview. Arrived for an interview with the general manager a few days later and ended up interviewing with another sales manager briefly, then onto a general manager afterwards. After the general manger I was offered to meet with the manager of this location. So all in all, 4 people over 2 visits. If you're offered a job, be prepared to take a drug test and undergo a brief background check by a third party company. These steps take the longest (several days). Their biggest concern is if you will fit into their family or not, and rightfully so because they all seem very happy. They're not overly concerned with your background in sales, as they are your personality and qualities as a human being. I liked everyone I met, and they seem as awesome in person as their positive reviews by other employees.
Great recap of our process. I love how you explained each step of the way. You are correct, we are very picky with who we invite into the fold. The reason we conduct multiple interviews is because we want the best talent out there that fits with our culture. Thanks for the post.

Interview
The interview was pretty slandered. They asked basic questions. Was interviewed by six different people. They offered me a job but the base pay was lower then what they agreed to in the interview and it had no information regarding how the commission worked..

Not a difficult interview if you prepare, and the managers are all friendly. But they are looking for a specific kind of person, and you have about 3-4 interviews before a job offer.
