      Regulatory Affairs Specialist Interview

      23 Feb 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Caption Health in Mar 2020

      Interview

First interaction was early March 2020. This was of course when COVID was picking up and nobody really knew what was going to happen. But I went into this with a lot of hope. Liked what I read about the company and their products online. They asked me to work on a take-home assignment. I submitted my answer to the assignment on time. Got an acknowledgment that they received it. Waited for a long time at which point I was told their devices are getting deployed in the field because of COVID so they are really busy. Long wait again. At this point I was told the team is reviewing my response. Finally I get an email that says the most ridiculous thing- “we ultimately decided that this position would be better suited to someone who is very familiar with working in a regulatory specialist team.” At that time I had 2 years of experience working on a Regulatory team. Doesn’t this company review resumes? Don’t they see the experience on there? So at the end I felt like this company was getting away cheap by having a candidate answer questions and do research for them in the disguise of an assignment. Such companies only exist in the Bay Area- with that air of superiority and pseudo-importance. They didn’t reject me. I reject them and will never interview/ work with a company like this that doesn’t value a candidate’s resume and decides to waste their time with unnecessary assignments.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The assignment was based on some papers that you have to read and then answer questions based on what you understood from the reading.
