I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2022
Interview
It's a very smooth and friendly process. Applied to the role and within a week had a recruiter reach out to do a screening. Questions asked were about experience, resume, and some situational questions. I was told right away that I would be moving forward to the next round. Round 2 is a business case interview so you should definitely practice a lot of cases and get comfortable talking through your thought process and why you are doing what you are doing. It was in front of two managers, one who is working with you on the case directly and trying to understand how you think. He caught some of my mistakes (which is ok thats why they tell you to talk through it) and asked me if the numbers looked right where the mistakes were. Unfortunately, I did not move forward because I did get some of the math wrong during the case interview. The recruiter called me after a few days to give me feedback from the managers. The final round would have been a power day filled with 4 45-minute business case interviews with different managers. Recruiter and managers were really friendly and are not trying to make you fail. Make sure review break even analysis, weighted averages, and profit calculations.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Recruiter screening involved situational questions like tell me a time about... and 2nd round was a business case so need to practice a bunch of those.
The interview was based on 3 phases. First was screening on call then a video interview with mini case then a power day with 3 phases including product interview, case based and economics based.
First, Screening call: the HR simply walked you thru the interview process and schedule the next round of interview - mini-case. I haven't done the mini case yet. Mini case, just search online for potential cases and prepare for it.
Fairly straightforward. Recieved a mini case then the power day which consisted of a behavior interview, a case and a product sense interview. The Product Sense asked for me to choose any product and identify 10 potential users for it
