I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capital One (Mettawa, IL) in Mar 2014
Interview
I had a phone screen interview with two employees setup by a recruiting firm. They provided a conference bridge for the call. Two employees were on the call; they were calling in from both in different locations. I was expecting a face to face interview afterwards. But since this was only for a contract position there was no follow up. (Offer was made shortly after the call.)

Question 1
They like to think of themselves as high level consultants so they'll ask you a strategy question like - 1) where do you think of credit card industry is going? or 2) what do you think Capital One should do to be stronger in the industry?
The interview process was smooth overall. It started with a computer screening, followed by a 30-minute recruiter call focused on my experience and fit with Capital One. Then I had a one-hour “money case” discussing a Capital One product from different angles. I’ve now moved to the PowerDay round, which includes two product cases, one product skills round, and one product discovery round.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One
Interview
Interview had 4 rounds: assessment, recruiter, hiring manager, and Power Day. The Power day was 4 30 min interview sessions with other managers. It was pretty straight forward, just prepare some STAR based experiences.
Interview process included a first round HR screen, a second round mini case study, and a power day final round followed by a team match. Recruiter was very helpful throughout the process
