      Project Manager Interview

      6 Feb 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at CapTech in Dec 2019

      Interview

Had a phone interview with HR, and follow-up phone interview with a Senior Manager, followed up with an on-site interview with managing directors and senior manager. Overall the process was very bad. There were a lot of miscommunication with the person scheduling the interview and the HR manager. The final rounds of interview went really well (had it in December). I was told by the recruiter that the interview went well and that they were "really interested". Then it was radio silence until January. In January I reached out and they told me that some projects were up in the air and "let's keep in touch". At that point, it was clear that they did a poor job of forecasting for the opportunity. I was neither approved or rejected for this position. It's still up in the air but the fact that the recruiter has not been great at communicating with me has been a huge turn-off.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience in our interview process. I am sorry to hear you had a poor experience and this stemmed around communication. It can be a bit challenging to coordinate the schedules of our team as well as the candidate interviewing and our goal is to make this as seamless as possible. Unfortunately, this was not the case in your situation. I am glad to hear that the final round of interviews went well and apologize there was a lack of clear next steps. Due to client demand, our needs can change quickly and we do our best to ensure we have an immediate project for the new team members to join. I understand how this can be very frustrating especially if there is a miss on our part around communication. As a team, we are working on how to get more clarity and also provide more updates as a candidate goes through the process so there isn't any uncertainty. I would love to talk through your experience in more detail to help improve our process and if interested please reach out to me at: klanglois@captechconsulting.com. (Director, Talent Acquisition).

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at CapTech in Oct 2023

      Interview

After applying, I received an email saying my "interview" was scheduled at a certain time. I emailed them back and said that time did not work for me, and offered different times I was available. They then emailed at the time I said I was busy with a questionnaire to fill out, within an hour time frame. They don't value the time of their candidates, so I refused to go further in the process.

      Project Manager Interview

      10 Oct 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at CapTech (Chicago, IL)

      Interview

I had an initial phone interview with the CapTech Talent Acquisition Lead. Then had a technical phone interview with a manager in the Carolina Market. I received an email back that the technical phone conversation went really well. I was then invited onsite for a half-day of interviews. I had 3 interviews with 1 with the Chicago Market Lead, 1 with a director, and 1 with a senior manager. I received an email that the onsite interviews went well. I was then told that Captech would require 1 more additional onsite interview with a managing director for Virginia. After that interview, I received feedback that the interview went well. I reached out to the recruitment team after not hearing anything about potential next steps. Then I was totally ghosted. I feel like I at least deserved some explanation after investing so much of my time in the recruitment process.

Thank you for providing your feedback and experience going through our interview process. I am sorry you had a negative experience and did not hear from the recruiting team after the final round of interviews. We recognize that our candidates are taking time out of their busy schedules to go through multiple rounds of interviews and agree with you the least we can do is provide an update. As a team, we are working to ensure that all candidates are updated through email or phone regarding next steps in the process including whether we decide to move forward or not. I would be happy to discuss with your future and don’t hesitate to contact me at: Kristin Langlois, Director of Talent Acquisition @klanglois@captechconsulting.com
