I applied online. I interviewed at Canadian Medical Association in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview process was absolutely tedious. It took a month and half to find out an answer. I went through four stages with the last one being an intense background check. The check included employment verification, education verification, and social media scan. The check was taking forever and I had called the background check company and asked for a status update. They said my check has been cleared and there are no issues and it’s back with CMA since last Friday. I get an email today saying I did not pass their checks. Which is a complete lie. I would have taken the hiring recruiter’s word for it if I didn’t call the background check company.
From what I can tell is that this organization is actively racist and does not hire Muslims who actively support Palestine. That could be the only reason why they did not hire me. I have an impeccable career and education and there is no reason why I should have not passed the checks easily because I did not lie about anything. They are discriminating on the basis of their political beliefs which is completely unacceptable. I emailed back asking for a reason and they could not provide me one. So do me a favour and stay away from this organization, they will waste your time and efforts.

Question 1
Q: What do you think is the biggest challenge of the medical industry in Toronto?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Canadian Medical Association (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2022
Interview
Probably one of the worst interviews ever. The interviewers clearly have never interviewed anyone before because the interview consisted of specific technical questions that could have been answered via my resume which they clearly did not read. They also repeated questions that were answered earlier in the process. They made no introductions at the beginning of the interview so I had no idea who they were in the organization. They interrupted me twice during my answers. The interviewers had troubling articulating questions when I asked them to explain further. I had to stop the interview halfway through because I couldn't picture working for these people.
