I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Canada's Wonderland (Vaughan, ON) in May 2015
Interview
Talked to you for ~5-10 minutes about times you're able to work, if you have a ride, what pay you're expecting, etc.
If you're compatible, they take you into the group interview. They lay out cards that have questions on them and you pick them for the person next to you to read.
Next, they ask you to describe and sell a product (+ imaginary combos). I got a pizza slice.
Not too bad overall, found it very easy. Hired 3/4 people, but the guy who didn't get chosen had a pretty bad speech impediment.
MAKE SURE YOU REPEAT "IT WAS MY PLEASURE" WHEN THEY THANK YOU (in the stage where you sell a product). You might get line cook instead of food associate if you aren't as people friendly and don't say "it was my pleasure".

Interview
I applied online in late July, they called back within 5 days, and we arranged a time for an interview during the call. They told me exactly what would happen and followed up with a helpful email (solo interview first, then a group interview). As long as you talk and show that you're not a snob, they'll hire you.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you handle a rowdy guest who is waiting in line?

Interview
The pre-screen interview only lasted a couple minutes, asked about availability, if you could stand for extended periods of time.
In the group interview we were given 2 situations and were asked to discuss as a group on how to solve them. Then we did a block building exercise that was pretty easy.
All you have to do is talk a lot and you will get hired, the only person who didn't get hired in my group was someone who didn't talk at all.

Interview
Very easy, asked a few basic questions individually
Brought into a group room with approx. 10 other interviewees and a few people in the back observing; had to choose a stuffed animal that best represented ourselves and explain why, then had to construct a marble tower in groups
