I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Camunda in Sept 2024
Interview
The process involved:
1) 30 mins initial interview with Recruiter
2) 45 mins interview with Hiring Manager
3) 2x 45 mins functional interviews with Product Leader and Engineering Leader
4) 50 min presentation with Hiring Manager and CTO (based on Product case study task)
The overall process from initial application to offer took 5 weeks but was slightly delayed due to PTO so would have been shorter. Though there were multiple stages involved, the process was very thorough and well thought out and never felt over-done.
I was able to get a very good understanding of what Camunda is looking, their working culture and Product plans. They are super transparent in terms of remote working setups, compensation, benefits and progression.
The whole process was co-ordinated very well. Monique (TA Partner) kept me well informed throughout and it never took more than 24 hours to receive feedback after each stage. She made the whole experience very enjoyable.

Question 1
How would do you prioritise between product features and technical debt with the team
Recruiters reached out to me twice and both times I received a rejection for what felt like a lack of foresight on the company's part. Either the role's requirements had changed or I had what seemed like a great interview and then was suddenly rejected without explanation.
Overall a poor experience and I won't entertain any future communications from this company.

Send CV, call with recruiter about general topics. A few weeks later, after asking about the status received rejection letter. I do not think that the recruiter was very interested / engaged and it felt more like a "if we have to do it, let's do it" event.
