Calhoun International interview questions

It's not fair to call the conversation I had with the CEO an interview. I was asked to verify my resume, and by verify I mean just stating that, yes I have the qualifications and experience I claimed. After that it was salary and start date. Calhoun is all about making sure billable billets are filled. They don't care much past that, so I had an offer within five minutes of the call. I initially declined. They called back at a later time with a slightly better offer, and I accepted. (Accepting was a mistake.)

CEO reached out to me directly via email, I did not apply to a position. We set up a time for a call. He gave a brief description of company and position. It was very straight forward. He asked about my background so I gave a verbal rundown of my resume. He said I was well qualified and said what the max salary for the position was. It was low for the industry and significantly below any salary I've had in the last 15 years, including my current salary. I said I would not be interested in a position with that compensation. He made a denigrating comment about my level of education and an insincere wish of "good luck with that". I thanked him for his time and ended the call. Reading the other reviews of this company this seems very much in line with others experience.
