Four steps... Lengthy process drawn out over a month or two ish. call with recruiter first, then an assignment, another interview, then final round which is in person. I did final round with 4 people on the team I'm going to be with.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cadent (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2025
Interview
30 minute video interview, take-home assignment, then invited for a 2 hour on-site in San Jose where I was interviewed by 4 different people. overall it was a seamless interview experience but i ended up not hearing back from the recruiter at all, so be wary they may ghost you
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
take-home frontend-focused assignment (ie. implement this UI)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cadent (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
The overall experience is really unfortunate. I interviewed with recruiter (who only communicated with me via LinkedIn), the hiring manager, and two VPs. It all was 1:1 interviews asking about my experience, and how it relates to the role. Because this is pre-sales, most of the role is truly understanding the sales team and how they maneuver and how to fit yourself in.
