I applied through university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at CVS Health (Raleigh, NC) in Jan 2021
Interview
I found it very casual; it felt more like a chat between the pharmacy manager and me. We talked about: why I chose to pursue a career in pharmacy; why I wanted to work in a community setting and at CVS in particular; prior experience, comfort with high volume, performance under pressure; how comfortable I felt performing various aspects of the job (vaccinations, OTC recommendations, patient profile review, DDI/DUR, patient counseling, etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A scenario was posed to see how I would multitask and delegate under pressure. Something along the lines of: “You’re working skeleton crew with one RPH, one tech, and yourself. It’s a holiday weekend and you’re several pages behind in the queue, a line snaking around the store, customers honking in the drive through, all phone lines ringing. Your tech is having a meltdown after a negative customer interaction and your RPH is dealing with a new diabetes consult. Your patients are angry about the wait time and getting more agitated. What do you do?”
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CVS Health (Winter Haven, FL) in Dec 2025
Interview
The online virtual interview went very smoothly. The interviewer was friendly, explained the role clearly, and asked straightforward questions about my pharmacy experience and availability. The overall process was quick, organized, and stress-free.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to describe my previous pharmacy or healthcare experience and how it prepared me for the intern role.
It was online screening via video. They give you the prompt and you have a couple of minutes to prepare then you record the video. I believe I was able to do 1 retake of each question.
It was a very quick process, interviewed first online asynchronously and then with the district manager and got in. Overall, pretty straightforward and easy. As long as you are suited for the position, they would want the extra help.
