I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at CVS Health in May 2023
Interview
First call with the recruiter was great explaining about the role and getting to know candidate's experience, then completely silent for 2 weeks and then I get update that they are starting the interview process and ask If I am still interested and then I get scheduled for interview with Hiring Manager and then next round with team lead developers and then with scrum master, after all the interviews, I am completely ghosted and get no update even after checking on feedback with the recruiter for a week.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain how would you go with designing Microservices ? Questions on React difference between useState vs useEffect?
First round was fine. Second round had two people who were unknowing of what they were asking. The man who asked frontend questions did not know what web workers were; claimed that TailwindCSS was a premiumware (it isn't btw); and claimed knowledge of virtual DOM when he didn't understand it at all.
The other person interviewing behaved unprofessionally by questioning my educational credentials and asking vague system design questions, refusing to be proactive, sounding more like an interrogation,
In the end, this simply looks like a data farming mechanism and less of actual hire.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CVS Health (Galway) in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview process consists of two technical rounds, each lasting 45 minutes.
First Interview (Live Coding): This session focuses on problem-solving skills using the Codility platform. Candidates are required to complete two coding tasks within 45 minutes. The topics include algorithmic challenges such as the "two pointers" technique and implementing a Tic-Tac-Toe game logic.
Second Interview (Behavioral with Manager): This is a 45-minute discussion centered on the candidate's professional background. The manager will review the CV in detail, ask about previous work experience, and pose technical questions to assess both soft skills and domain knowledge.
The interview process was fine, there weren't any hard questions asked. Typical question was pulling data from backend using retrofit. I would highly recommend brushing up on basic Android functionality and code.
