I applied for the position online and heard back about two weeks later. I received a text message from a recruiter and we scheduled a video interview for later in the week. The first interview was with the hiring manager and another director in the department. It lasted about an hour. I received a text message follow up from the same recruiter two weeks later. She scheduled another interview with the hiring manager's supervisor. This video interview lasted 30 minutes. The following week, I received a phone call from another recruiter who asked me about the interviews and my desired compensation. I advised of my compensation requirements which was in the range listed on the job description. The recruiter laughed at the request and stated that they "would never pay anyone that amount even if it is listed on the description." He went on to state that they were targeting something on the low end of the range. I informed him that I was already making more than that in my current role and would decline the offer if it was presented. I received an offer letter the following week. The salary offered was still much less than my current salary and I declined the offer.
