I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at COmputing TechnologieS (Fairfax, VA) in Dec 2010
Interview
My initial communication included an online application via careerbuilder.com. The information I used was collected from my previous employment locations in the heart of Richmond, Virginia and in Washington, District of Columbia. There was only one interview arranged, and it was with Wilmer Amaya. Mr. Amaya called and had planned a few questions so that the interview would go uninterrupted. I confidently responded due to the interview being held over a mobile device and Mr. Amaya would respond in an unimpersonal manner. There was one question that he asked to prove that I spoke Spanish and that I had customer service experience, and it was how I handled several clients at my previous employment, Barnes & Noble. I said that if there were many people waiting, I'd ask the next person if they had a book on hold, or if they came in with a different purpose. This assures that everyone is attended to and that stress level is kept at a minimum. Afterwards, the interview was concluded and I felt a peace of mind knowing that I would start training in the upcoming days. At the training site, there were people connected to different networks, which I felt would be expected. The most important factor for future reference would be to acknowledge everyone and express a sense of comfort and belonging.
