      Senior Interior Designer/Project Manager Interview

      24 Jun 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Naples, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at CID Design Group (Naples, FL) in Apr 2025

      Interview

I genuinely respect the work that comes out of this firm. Unfortunately, after the interview — and a follow-up email — I received no response or closure. It felt inconsistent with the values they emphasized during the conversation. If this is reflective of how communication is handled internally, it raises concerns about how employees may be treated as well. I would not recommend this firm to colleagues after receiving this treatment and my opinion of the firm has changed dramatically. It only takes one small “thank you, but we are not proceeding with your application” email to make a huge difference.

      Interview

Very similar to another recent review which prompted me to share my similar experience. I have followed this firms work for a while and genuinely love and respect the work they do. Their response time from when I submitted my resume and portfolio was quick. However, I am very disappointed in how this firm handled the post interview. After being told I would hear from them by a specific date, I followed up after the date came and went with not hearing anything. I followed up one more time with understanding that people are busy, and I was again left with no response. This was very unexpected after how the interview went, the talks of next steps for the interview process, and the values they preached. I have taken this as a silver lining because if this is how they treat potential applicants, I can only imagine how they treat their employees. It is extremely unprofessional to not communicate and ignore a potential candidate after an interview. Communication is a form of respect and all that needs to be said is "thank you so much but we have decided to go in a different direction." My opinion of this firm has completely changed since this experience and I would not recommend them to anyone due to their unprofessionalism.
