I was invited for interview in the office and was given some tasks to do including creating an email invite, I was then interviewed with plenty of questions. Initially I wasn't offered the role and was redirected to another department as they had another role, I was invited to speak to the hiring manager and was expecting an informal discussion but it felt like more of an interview which I wasn't prepared for as I hadn't seen any job description, they said they would come back to me and I never heard back. I was then contacted a while later for the original role and said they wanted to offer it to me as there first choice backed out, I asked if they could match my salary, instead of negotiating it was a 'No' and that they've decided to review the role & they didn't attempt to negotiate, which I was willing to do. I found the whole process strange and have seen them now trying to re-recruit for those roles! The company doesn't seem ethnically diverse in terms of staff.
