      Entry Level Java Developer Interview

      22 Aug 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Pittsburgh, PA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CGI (Pittsburgh, PA) in Aug 2021

      Interview

      1. Went through a sort of light behavioral/technical interview, a screening process to see if they wanted to interview me further. The interviewer had a set list of questions he had to run through in the 20 minutes we had. Softball questions even for me, and I’ve never worked in tech before. 2. They called to schedule two further interviews, each about 30 minutes—one behavioral, one technical. 3. At the end of the day after my last interview I received a phone call and a verbal offer. Official offer came in to my email the next business day.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Asked me about projects I worked on in class, how they generally worked, what their purpose was, and if I worked on a team, what parts of the project was I responsible for. If I learned any lessons while working on my project. If I had ever had a difficult teammate, how I went about dealing with that person and resolving the issue. It was a very conversational easygoing interview. There were no “gotcha” technical questions where it felt like they wanted to trip me up, and it never felt like an interrogation.
