I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CFGI (Boston, MA) in Jan 2018
Interview
Usually starts with a phone screen. From there they will decide to bring you in or not. You will usually meet with a few managers or senior managers and then finish with a partner or managing director.

Question 1
General Big4 experience questions (what projects you worked on, team sizes, industry, etc). What about CFGI has interested you in your search? What are your strengths?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CFGI (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview process was excessively lengthy, in all took over 3 months from beginning to end.
Screening interview, (2) follow-up interviews with SM/Director level employees, one partner interview + case study submission.
I had a positive experience up until my final interview with the partner. There were numerous last minute interview cancellations without a proactive reach out that the partner would not be able to make it and needed to reschedule.
During my final interview, the partner did request I submit a case study despite expressing doubts about my direct fit with this particular role. I thought it was odd that I was asked to submit the case study but not present it, which makes me wonder if I was performing and providing project materials pro-bono on for one of their clients or prospective clients. If the partner had made the decision ahead of time, it would have made sense not to ask me to complete a case study.
