There was a selection panel consisting of 4 members. They were different subject scientists. Each of them asked me a question. I was applying to the protein department and they asked me questions regarding my project in college, one or two basic conceptual/logical questions from microbiology growth curve etc.

It was a walk-in interview and there was a selection panel of about 3 members. They ask basic questions and then build their further questions based on your answers. Once the interview is done, they release the list of selected/waitlisted candidates on their website.
