ByteDance Test Engineer interview questions

Had two rounds of online video interview. First round result was given within an hour. After 2nd round, they took more than 1 week to let me know that they won't move forward. The 2nd round interview was really great. Answered everything they asked. Coding question was solved in a very sort time with optimal solution. There was no proper rejection reason. Very bad experience. If you don't want to recruit then why do you waste other's time?

I applied for a Software Engineer role originally. The first round of interview was a typical series of Leetcode medium / difficult (in equal proportion) questions. I did not do so well for it, which might be why they deemed me more suitable for a Test Engineer role instead. The second round of interview was with a QA team lead, and it was unexpectedly conducted in Mandarin on the request of the interviewer.
