I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Buro Happold (Bath, England) in Mar 2016
Interview
Initial online application - CV and covering letter. After 6-8 weeks I was Invited for a telephone interview with a BuroHappold graduate recruitment advisor. 1-2 weeks later I was invited for a face to face interview with a Senior Engineer. Notified via telephone call a couple of weeks later with their decision and feedback. Both the recruitment advisor and Senior Engineer were exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Telephone interview was non-technical. Questions were aimed at your motivations behind your career choice and for applying to BuroHappold, and where you see yourself later in your career.
Face to face interview included competency based questions (e.g. giving examples of team work, leadership etc.) and technical questions (basic questions about your field of study). Interviewer has a copy of your CV and will ask you about work experience and other points on your CV. Interviewer asked about IT skills e.g. MS Excel ability. I was required to take two recent pieces of academic project work with me to talk through.
