I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bunzl (Sumner, WA)
Interview
Not the worst, but ranks #2.
Three rounds. Mostly virtual. One onsite.
Felt like a formality, not a fit check.
Top 10 interview questions read off a script. No follow-ups. No depth.
Job description was recycled. Hiring manager admitted it.
Recruiter was solid. Followed up.
Second round: joined on time via the only link. Sat in the waiting room. No one showed. Emailed. Called. Finally connected. Somehow still my fault.
Third round was chaos.
Misspelled directions. 250k+ sq ft warehouse. 40+ truck bays. Poor signage signage. Locked doors. Wrong entrance.
Wandered the perimeter. Made it inside by 3:02. Front desk unstaffed.
Manager showed at 3:04. Took a jab about me being “late” mid-interview, in front of the panel.
Team was friendly, but more interested in my ice cream preferences than analytics.
Comp dodged. Benefits unclear. Scope undefined.
Whole thing felt reactive, like they were putting out fires, not solving problems.
Hard pass. I withdrew.
Interview was fine, the hiring manager asked me about myself then a couple of questions about my job history and then an excel test. It felt a bit more casual than most interviews.
