      Business Analyst Interview

      10 Nov 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Bullhorn

      Interview

Way too many rounds for an entry-level position. In my final interview I could tell that the hiring manager had already decided to go another direction, but tried to hit me with “gotcha” questions to justify the decision. It was a distressing experience to spend hours and hours of interviews only to be set up for embarrassment in my final interaction.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Asked how I approach solutions. Heavy emphasis on my resume - they drilled into specifics of jobs from 10+ years ago, even if they were not relevant to the industry or position.

Sorry to hear you had a negative experience interviewing here. This is good perspective, and I'll discuss with the hiring teams. Best of luck in your search. - Kelley Morse, CPO

      Interview

Typical behavioral interview style. Did inquire about my priorities and what I wanted out of an employer. This has not been something that I have found at other companies. There were some of the same old song and dance questions but I find that more of a formality then what they are truly asking.

      Question 1

Tell me about a time when a project you were working on did not meet the deadline.

      Business Analyst Interview

      11 Apr 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Bullhorn (Boston, MA)

      Interview

I liked the idea of using personality tests to screen candidates. After I took my two tests, I was emailed to have a phone interview the next day. That's where things just became odd. Bullhorn's recruiter was over 15 minutes late, didn't really know too much about the job description, and mainly grilled me about my current salary at my job and my expected salary. I am coming from owning my own start-up and had to explain to her that I didn't have a "salary" as I only raised a Pre-Seed round and didn't have a set salary. Although I have been in the CRM industry for four years, I guess it wasn't a match. If Bullhorn is that focused on past and expected salary, I guess it was for the best we didn't move forward.
