      Intern Interview

      23 Jan 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Broadridge in Apr 2015

      Interview

I applied online and was subsequently contacted by someone from HR who set up a phone interview. I then spoke with someone from the department I would eventually be working for. It was a highly technical team. The interview was behavioral. He asked if I had ever done research in the field. They later told me that they were looking for interns who they could easily communicate with over ones with more technical skills. There is a drug test for all interns, so stop smoking if you get an interview.

      Interview

Round 1: Online Test The first round consisted of an online test focused on the subjects mentioned above. This round was crucial in determining who would move forward in the interview process. Round 2: Technical Interview 1 After qualifying the online test, I faced my first technical interview. The interviewer was very approachable, which helped ease my nerves. He began with basic questions related to DBMS, SQL, and CN—questions that were familiar and often found online. Additionally, he asked two basic DSA questions: Sort the 1s and 0s in a given array without using built-in functions. [Second question, if applicable] Round 3: Technical Interview 2 The second technical interview was more challenging, focusing on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and various coding questions. While I found this round tougher, I was able to apply the knowledge I had gained. Round 4: HR Interview Although I only progressed through two rounds, this interview experience motivated me to self-analyze my knowledge in the field. I realized the importance of understanding my strengths and areas for improvement.
