      Customer Development Manager Interview

      21 Aug 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Hemel Hempstead, England
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Britvic Soft Drinks (Hemel Hempstead, England) in May 2017

      Interview

Initially I had an informal chat over the phone with the HR partner a few days after applying for the job. The following week I had another informal telephone conversation with the hiring manager, and two weeks later I was invited for a formal interview at Hemel Hempstead, where I had to do a 10 minute presentation. Everyone was relaxed and very polite through all stages, so the experience was great. Unfortunately, that was the last time I ever heard from them. I tried to contact the HR partner (several times with emails and phone calls), but I never got a reply or any kind of feedback (it has been 3 months since the initial call). I understand that there might be stronger candidates for the position, but constructive feedback is an inseparable part of the recruitment process. 5 minutes introduction 10 Minutes case study presentation 15 minutes case study Q&A 30 minutes competency based questions

I applied online. I interviewed at Britvic Soft Drinks (Hemel Hempstead, England) in Jul 2019

      Interview

So where I do start, the whole experience was absolute joke in what they were expecting in the assessment day. They were people at assessment that you could see were handpicked from within the company to go for these roles. THE RECRUITER SAID TO ME THAT THEY WERE 4 ROLES WHEN THEY WERE ONLY TWO. They made us do ‘childs games’ challenges in a unnatural environment where they expected people to do well. You go to interview prepping your answers and get in the right mind-set, not to play games. You should base it off experiences candidates have had in their work experience, not whether they can solve a rubix cube in a matter of minutes!! They wasted my time, money and effort ( not counting the amount of preparation before hand) to come Hemel to play games. DO YOU LIKE PLAYING WITH PEOPLES TIME AND MONEY FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT?? I DONT WANT FEEDBACK ON WHETHER I CAN PLAY A GAME WELL. The p&l assessment was another joke, how can people process that information when you don’t make it clear within the p&l to do so, only people who have had experience with britvic would know what they are talking about ( again grooming the candidates for roles) . This was an not equal opportunity for anyone in that assessment today, I felt sorry for ‘7’of us. nine blokes not one woman, that’s gives you a good insight what they look for within their commercial side of the business. This experience will put me off forever actually applying again with britvic, this may not mean anything to them but I think everyone had a bad experience that they would never admit to the recruiters. Tbh I can’t wait for HR to call me to give me feedback because I wanna give them feedback on that day!!! WHAT AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME AND SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE OF A BLUE CHIP COMPANY!!!

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Britvic Soft Drinks (Hemel Hempstead, England) in Mar 2019

      Interview

Initial call and emails with the HR Partner, followed by attending a first stage 1 hour interview. The 2 people I met face to face were great and gave a good impression, however it appears Britvic feel it is acceptable as noted by others to give no feedback and ignore follow up requests asking for this, which has left me with a negative view and opinion of their brand and business.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Standard questions based on my experiences and successes to date in similar roles including general questions about how I look to improve myself in my career and what my aspirations were for the future.
