I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at British Engines (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Jun 2018
Interview
Very informal chat with the HR manager and Business Engineer Director. Applied online, heard back soon from the HR manager to organise a face to face interview. Met at the HQ office and sat in a meeting room with the HR manager and Business Engineer Director. They asked what I knew of the company, gave a brief discussion on how it formed, what they are now and the different companies they have under them. They continued to ask about my CV, the modules i've completed and how it relates to the position. They did most of the talking, shook hands to hear back not long after having been offered the position.

Interview
Informal chat with two managers from Michell Bearings one of the companies under the British Engines Umbrella. Main interview was talking about myself and academic experience followed by a discussion over a technical drawing to explain what different parts of a Michell bearing were called and their function. This was not too hard as I had researched the bearings before the interview.
Was told I would hear back the following week however a month passed and I had heard nothing, was eventually told I had not been successful after sending a follow up email. I feel this is pretty poor on the companies behalf as I had taken the time to come to the interview. I also sent a follow up email asking for feedback which was ignored.

Interview
One-stage on site interview with HR manager and IT Director. Largely informal and friendly chat, not pressured or technical at all. They were very open and honest and didn't keep their cards to their chest which was refreshing. Offered the job at the end of the interview.
