I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at British Council (Paris) in Aug 2013
Interview
I met with 2 Senior Teachers and had an interview that lasted about 45 minutes. It was a great experience, as I felt I could draw on personal experiences and really give an idea of who I am, not just my qualifications and professional experience. It was good to be interviewed by teachers rather than HR because they know who they're looking for and what questions to ask to really check you are who you say you are.

Question 1
What would you do if a parent complained about your lessons?
The interview process was normal, classic, and easy to follow. The interviewers were friendly and professional, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Communication was clear throughout, and the overall experience felt organised, welcoming, and positive.
Professional. It followed a structure of questions based on behavioural competencies which examined a range of behaviours from organisation to holding people accountable. The interview was very much about illustrating these required competencies to prior experience.

Interview
When I applied there were physical people in HR in Singapore. Now HR is a portal. You have to do a timed video interview with set questions. If you get through that you will be interviewed by real people.
