The interview process at Bridgepoint Investment Banking was by far the most extensive I’ve ever experienced. It’s clear they’ve been burned by past hires and have set a high bar for incoming talent—which, in fairness, is admirable. However, the intensity of the process can be tough to manage if you're juggling a full-time job and other opportunities.
Here’s what the process looked like for me:
1. Initial one-way video interview
2. Call with the COO
3. Interview with an Analyst
4. 24-hour take-home case study — including a company profile slide, DCF, LBO, and a list of 10 strategic/financial buyers (you’ll absolutely need the full 24 hours)
5. Review of the case study with the team
6. (Presumably) a final round or superday with senior leadership
Overall, it was a solid experience and a good reflection of their high standards. Just be prepared—this process is not for the faint of heart. Good luck to those interviewing… you’re going to need it!
