I applied for a Senior Security Consultant role and had a positive initial call with an internal recruiter. I was told my background aligned well with the role and that the interview process would follow three clearly defined stages, starting with a relaxed, two-way introductory conversation.
The first stage did not reflect what had been described. Two interviewers were present despite being told to expect one, and the session quickly became a structured, assessment-driven interview with limited opportunity to discuss my experience. Although I was encouraged to prepare questions in advance, I was given around three minutes at the end to ask my own questions.
