Very straightforward and well managed. HR associate reached out to describe the process and ask if I had any questions. Then it was an introductory call with the head of the team followed by a final round of calls with RMs on the team. Each call related to one of the company's core values, and the HR associate sent over plenty of prep materials. Very enjoyable interview experience.

Interview
I imagine the first stage is a screening with the recruiter followed by additional rounds. I had the most positive conversation with the recruiter who was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It was actually the best interview experience I've had with a company to date and a breath of fresh air from what I've experienced at other companies.
I really liked the sound of Brex, their mission/product (definitely cutting edge) and I could tell they were client obsessed which is wonderful to see. It also seems like they care greatly about their employees. I think the interview process tells you quite a bit about the company and the people they hire. I have nothing but positive things to say about the experience.
Unfortunately, we decided not to move forward to the next stages. The pay was a decent bit below market for the position/requirements. Although the company is remote optional, they adjust pay depending on location also which I don't find to be a good policy. I think to recruit the best talent you have to pay commensurate with experience. A person's contribution is not more or less depending on where they live (just some friendly feedback). Overall experience was great.

Interview
Interview process overall is great at Brex. The recruiting team communicates well, responds to follow-ups, and sets clear expectations. Brex clearly sets a high bar volume for hiring as they receive top-notch candidates and have the luxury of choosing from the best in the industry.
The total interview process was 9 interviews: one recruiter screening, one hiring manager screening, and then 7 panel interviews with different members from the team including a sales role play. Each interview was 30 minutes.
The team interviewing was clearly passionate about their work. Questions asked were fair and never meant to trick, but clearly the team was looking for next-level answers.
Overall, the interview experience was good, but involves a fair amount of prep work. This is not ideal if you do not receive an offer, which in my case I did not, because of my industry background, which is not financial services.
