      I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Box

      Let me start off by saying Box does not not hire MBAs for any Customer Success functions. I wish I would have known that ahead of time and saved myself some disappointment. I was lucky to find a great current employee to do an informational with me. She was so awesome and also referred to the CSM role after a few exchanges. A week after she submitted me, I received an email asking to schedule a screen. The screen was on a Friday and it was quick. I got 4 questions (see below) and then had the opportunity to ask some of my own. The recruiter followed up with some HR type questions (salary, location, timeframe) and mentioned that I would hear back by the middle of the next week about next steps. On Tuesday, I received a canned email saying that I did not match "hiring needs." I later found out that that it was most likely because I was considered to be overqualified with my MBA. It's worth mentioning that once you're rejected, they don't reconsider you for 6 months to a year. Every Box employee who I have interacted with has been super nice. I'm really disappointed that I was eliminated just for my education even though I had self selected into the function, which gets me on the path of where I want to end up. The 4 questions I got were: Walk me through your resume Why Box Have you used Box before Difference between Box and its competitors

      Screening call then denial, seemed to be qualified but told me that accounts managed were not large enough. I felt very confident about moving forward in after the initial call and was shocked when I got that feedback. Seemed like they were interviewing many candidates.

      The online application was pretty straightforward. They required a résumé and a cover letter. They ask the basic information in a few qualifying questions. I felt that is very qualified for the job however I did not get a follow up call. I did receive the standard thank you for your application email.
