My experience interviewing was one of the most positive I've ever had. The process was very straightforward:
1) Phone screen with recruiter
2) Phone screen with hiring manager
3) Onsite interview with team
4) Follow up w/ recruiter & hiring manager.
One of my big pulls towards Box, besides being a great company in an exciting space, was how they handled the hiring process - they were incredibly supportive, responsive, and informative - this is exactly what any jobseeker is looking for. It was clear that they were invested in me from the get go. The recruiter was in constant contact with me to make sure I knew where I stood at every step of the process. He regularly checked in prior to each stage, to make sure I felt confident and ready for my interviews. On top of that, the phone screen with my hiring manager was the most relaxed, non-interview like interview I've ever had. He took all the time to get to know what I care about in a career, and the values that I uphold. When I came in for my onsite, it was clear our conversation was about how Box aligns with those values. I was impressed that a manager showed so much investment in merely a potential hire - it was indicative of how he must treat his actual employees. On top of that, he set up further conversations with more senior decision makers, so that I could learn about their hiring goals - this gesture of sticking his neck out and going above and beyond to make sure I got any relevant information I needed in order to make a decision set the tone for what I could expect, should I choose to work at Box - I've not been disappointed so far. To top it off, upon receiving a verbal offer, Box sent me cookies to my front door.
