Initially, I did a phone interview that went well. Once I came into the office for an in-person interview, I got weird vibes. The film industry tends to be more male dominated, which is something I'm used to as a female. But I was told during my interview "that there are other females that work here." Okay, great...? I definitely got some misogynistic vibes from leadership. The initial person I met with tried to 'prep' me for meeting with the owners and told me what to talk about and things to make sure I touch on. Almost in a warning kind of way. I completed my interview and was driving home when they called me and asked me to come back to meet with the other owner. And I was just super uncomfortable in the room with him.
As a female, if you're going through the interview process at Bowstring and get any weird vibes, definitely listen to yourself. Seems from reading the reviews of the company, I'm not the only person who experienced the misogynistic vibes from leadership.
