Very smooth. It went more like a conversation and the interviewer was open and transparent about what you will be doing. You can ask questions in return, but in all, it was a very easy interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at Bookstr in May 2026
Interview
Sent in my application materials and got an email within an hour requesting to interview. Set up the meeting for the next day and first told the interviewer about myself and my career goals and what I hope to get from this experience. Honestly thought my answers were a little sloppy and not super well put together, but the interviewer said that when she decides to interview someone, she's already hired them in her head. Got the internship acceptance materials same day and signed them, started the next week.

Question 1
What are your career plans and what do you hope to gain from this internship?
A very laidback, chatty interview where we discussed my experience, goals/interests, and the systems the company uses. It lasted about 25 minutes and by the end of it, I wasn't nervous at all. This is not a formal company or process, but if you're looking for flexibility and a "choose your own adventure" style experience, this could be it.
