I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bookipi

The whole process was fast. I was given a hackerank link, has 3 part, a quiz, a task to update an existing a React app to build a feature, a task to fetch data from an API and transform it to a custom format.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bookipi (Sydney) in Jul 2024
Interview
Was asked to do the test, did the test then got an email next day stating they already hired someone else. Not sure why HR was super pushing to do a 2hr test if they already made offer for the position.
I was able to solve all hacker rank questions successfully.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bookipi (Melbourne) in Apr 2024
Interview
Cold, rude and hostile. They clearly have little to no interpersonal skills nor have they completed any interview training.
During the technical interview, the CTO asked open-ended questions (which is good!) but when provided with possible solutions, it was clear he either didn't understand the provided option or it didn't fall into the particular "box" he had pre-selected. This is clear confirmation and expectation bias.
Solution design is an iterative process to seek the best outcome for a particular problem but every time I requested requirements or clarification I received no real response.
