I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Boehringer Ingelheim (Washington, DC) in Oct 2024
Interview
I suspect the interview process was ultimately 3-4 rounds. I made it through the first two - one with HR and one with the direct supervisor for the position. My review is focused on the HR recruiter I engaged with - who was incredibly unprofessional. I was tempted to list his name here, but that seems inappropriate. After two interviews, he essentially ghosted me - behavior I'd expect of a twenty-something on a dating site. This was a mid-senior level position for which I was well qualified, hence the two interviews. After the second interview, I received no additional communication from BI HR - I sent a thank you note two days after the interview, a follow-up e-mail ten days later, and left voicemail for the HR staffer an additional week later. For nearly a month, no response. I finally tracked down the recruiter roughly four weeks after my second interview. His response? "We moved forward with our preferred candidate". Which is perfectly fine. What's not fine is leaving a qualified candidate in the dark for weeks after two interviews. Can't imagine I'll consider future opportunities at BI after this experience. Totally unprofessional.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Boehringer Ingelheim
Interview
Interviews are fairly straight forward, but the hiring process takes time, almost 3 months in my case. I interviewed with an HR representative, then my immediate manager, then 4 additional people as a panel that are higher than my manager.
