I had a couple of really great interviews with the recruiting team. I also had a proofreading assignment as that would be part of the work I'd be doing for them. They were transparent throughout the process about having other candidates further along in the pipeline. While they chose to go forward with another person, they did suggest they would have more job openings of this kind in the future and would keep me in mind. They did ask for references at the end of my first call, but due to difficulty in providing multiple professional references (I had been self employed), they decided to wait until after the second call.
